will you still love me tomorrow?

warning: MAY SOUND LIKE MOPEY ENTRY But actually its not.
Its just me thinking about Carole King, and transient vs eternal love.

Am not in a heart-broken mood or anything, but I have never realised how sad Carole King's lyrics are. Was reading email when suddenly my iTunes in the background digs this up from my library of songs

"You say that i'm the only one...
but will my heart be broken... when the night meets the morning sun?
So tell me now and i won't ask again
Will you still love me tomorrow?"

geez.... does that capture the terrible tug of war between doubt and security in a heart during a relationship or what?

Sometimes, you hear lyrics like this and you wonder why people even get into relationships! :)

Hope springs eternal i guess....that somewhere some one out there will guarantee your heart will find its home, that it will be handled with all the care needed for something so fragile. seems so frighteningly foolish even to place your heart and trust into clumsy human hands then.

the more i think about it, the more true it sounds to entrust your fragile little scotch-taped, bruised, scarred and rotten heart into the hands of God first.

Love Your Lord. Let God be your First Love.

Then in this profound, divine place of rest can your heart be prepared to open up and love others in a powerful, honest manner. From the shelter of a Love that is eternally forgiving, can we begin to understand what it means to love another human being, be they your spouse or a common stranger.

Love Thy Neighbour as Thy self.

All the laws and the prophets hand on those two simple, beautifully complex truths.

Amazing stuff.

Okay next blog will be silly one to lighten things a litle. :D

current music: Carole King's really sad rendition of Will you Still Love Me Tomorrow
current mood: thankfully not sad and sober. just wishing sore throat will go and DIE.
