have to record this before i forget. Couple of months back, me and weudiweu were vegeing out over mineral water past midnight at the coffeeshop behind funan (which serves 50 cents coffee and tea btw, unheard of!). We started recalling memories of archi days and suddenly we remembered this little gem.
weudiweu and assorted archi people wanted to form a band once. Bantering round with band names, the all round winner was "QP and the Semi Ds". (all round loser name was "Oily Lips" - inspired by Weudiweu's admission that her favourite condiment was OIL. as opposed to sane choices like salt, pepper etc ya know)
QP and the semiDs is by the far the funniest ever name for a band of architects, man. hehheh. First album name "Architectonica!". Hot selling singles include "U-R-A", "Clients Suck", "Screw Your Concept, It's About Money", "Show me your Setback", "School Taught me Nothing" and "H to the Dee Bee"
QP btw, is Qualified Practioner - the final outpost to mark one's journey to being a professional architect.
honourary mention to the other inspired name for band of out of shape academics who still want to bust their groove out to the world: applause for "The Sassy Potatoes" (TM Moth man)
